Building Information Modeling (BIM)
How is it possible to deliver a project 25 percent faster and 15 percent under budget, with virtually no change orders? The answer is through the utilization of 3-D modeling to promote optimal building team collaboration.
Our team has valuable experience with the BIM concept. We bring valuable experience to the TEAM in layout drawings, 3D work, and BIM. We would also like to emphasize the importance of early implementation to fully recognize the benefits of building information modeling on the project. We are committed to improving the quality of construction utilizing this new technology.
We have recently completed health care and automotive projects, on which BIM was utilized for the coordination process. During the layout phase, our field drawings were created in 2D for ease of immediate installation and review. Our team then translated these drawings into 3d views within structural models created by the CM. Navisworks allowed integration of the MEP 3D designs to create a virtual model for the entire building. Our team used this integration to review conduit layouts, stub-up locations for conduits, equipment layouts, busway configurations, and identify problem issues / conflicts with other trades.
Our in-house CADD personnel have been trained and certified on the following systems:
- AutoCAD/Revit MEP 2014/BIM
- Navisworks Manage 2014 with Collision Detection
